CAT extends deadline for BSkyB to bring an appeal against the Competition Commission's report on BSkyB/ITV merger

On 11 January 2008, the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) published an order of the President of the CAT which extended the time limit for any application for review under section 120 of the Enterprise Act which might be brought by British Sky Broadcasting Group plc (BSkyB), or any other aggrieved person, in relation to the Competition Commission's report to the Secretary of State on the acquisition by BSkyB of a 17.9% stake in ITV plc. The deadline for the application has been extended to be coterminous with the expiry of the time for making an application under section 120 in relation to the Secretary of State's decision on the report.
