About PLC's RSS feeds.
RSS is a format for delivering regularly changing and updating web content.
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". RSS web feeds are web pages, designed to be read by computers rather than people.
RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content, such as blog entries, news headlines and articles. You can get the latest headlines and titles in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from. It's quicker than revisiting a site several times a day to check for updates and, rather than having to look for new headlines, RSS readers scan for updates and display them for you.
Step 1. | You need a modern version of Microsoft Outlook (2007 onwards), a feed reader or news aggregator. Outlook can easily check feeds for you, but sometimes this feature is not enabled in a business environment. A feed reader or news aggregator is a separate piece of software that checks the RSS feeds frequently for new content and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser (such as My Yahoo, Bloglines, and Google Reader), and some of which are downloadable applications (such as FeedReader (Windows), and NewsGator (Windows - integrates with Outlook)). |
Step 2. | Click on the links below or copy and paste into your feeds in Outlook, your feed reader or news aggregator. |
Step 3. | Check that Outlook or your feed reader displays the latest updates from PLC. Repeat this process for any further feeds. |
