High Court rules software copyright assigned to commissioner

The High Court has ruled that the copyright in certain software had been assigned to the commissioner of the software. (Destra Software Ltd v Comada (UK) LLP and others [2013] EWHC 1575 (Pat), 11 June 2013.)

Court of Appeal confirms passing off and trade mark infringement of "Fine" mark for estate agents

The Court of Appeal, upholding the High Court's decision, has confirmed that the defendants' use of the word "Fine" for estate agent services amounted to passing off and trade mark infringement of the claimants' "Fine & Country" figurative mark. EU institutions demand answers from US government following PRISM revelations
