On 23 November 2007, the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) handed down its ruling setting out its reasons for granting Hutchison 3G UK Limited (H3G) permission to amend its notice of appeal in the appeal brought by it against Ofcom's decision finding that H3G has significant market power on the market for wholesale mobile voice call termination on its network and imposing price controls under the Communications Act 2003.
On 5 October, the Commission announced that it has appointed a Monitoring Trustee to assist it with monitoring Microsoft's compliance with the Commission's 2004 decision finding that Microsoft had abused its dominant position.
On 30 March 2004, the European Commission announced that it has adopted a Commission Regulation and six Commission Notices relating to the modernised regime for the enforcement of Articles 81 and 82 of the EC Treaty.
On 24 October 2012, the European Commission announced that it has sent a statement of objections to Microsoft setting out its preliminary view that it has failed to comply with a 2009 binding commitments decision under Article 9 of Regulation 1/2003.

In addition, the Office of Fair Trading published for consultation a new draft guidance note on modernisation, an amended version of the OFT's Rules and 14 revised Competition Act guidance notes.
On 31 October 2011, Ofcom published for consultation a new draft of its enforcement guidelines, which explain how Ofcom handles competition and regulatory complaints.
On 28 March 2012, the OFT published a consultation on proposed changes to its investigation procedures in competition cases and revision of its Competition Act 1998 procedural guidance.
